The power is transmitted from the transmission through the drive shaft to the driving spiral bevel gear, which drives the large spiral bevel gear to drive the differential assembly to rotate together, and then the power is transmitted to the side gear connected by the spline through the side gear of the differential. On the half shaft, the power transmission of the main drive is completed. At the same time, the power transmission direction is changed, and the linear motion of the active spiral bevel gear is transmitted to the lateral motion of the large spiral bevel gear that is 90° with its axis.
The driving spiral bevel gear is equipped with three bearings, and the cylindrical roller bearing installed at the end is an auxiliary bearing. This structure is a statically indeterminate structure, which can prevent excessive deformation of the driving spiral bevel gear. This kind of statically indeterminate structure, if the shape and position tolerance of the three bearing installation parts are too large, it is easy to cause abnormal damage. Therefore, some main transmission structures have no bearings, which is called cantilever type. In order to prevent excessive deformation of the active spiral bevel gear, the cantilever type enlarges the structure size and increases the distance between the two cone bearings. But so far, most of the active spiral bevel gears on Chinese wheel loaders have adopted a statically indeterminate structure.
